About ..........

I am Goodwill Ambassador Daphne, and I was born and raised in Kingston, New York.  In the summer of 2010, my friend, Brenda, in Scotland, had a vision for a Travel Doll, and shared her dream on Prego. Someone else shared that same dream, and for this reason, I relocated to a little town in New Jersey. There, I came to make the acquaintance of Laurie Lenz, of Angels Doll Studio. At the Angels Salon, I was transformed, and Laurie has prepared my portfolio and travel journal.  From her doll studio, she will be sending me around the world for a grand tour, and will be documenting my journey on her website.

There will also be an auction at the end of my world tour to generate much needed funds to end the horrors of human trafficking.  Please see my mission statement to learn more.

My Travels

Following in the footsteps of other great travel dolls who have gone before me—Travel Sydney and Travel Suzette—I will be looking forward to travelling around the world and getting the opportunity to spend time and make memories with so many dear friends. I am also hoping to bring back some momentos from my journey, if you would be so generous.

My first formal travel stop/introduction to the doll community will be to my extended family, the Metrodolls group, in the Fall of 2010.

At the end of my world tour, I hope to stop at the Tonner Doll Company, my birthplace, in my home town of Kingston, NY, and then back to NJ where Laurie Lenz will be organizing an auction and the proceeds of the auction will be donated to aid in the cause of defending the rights of human beings around the world.

It has been such a pleasure getting to introduce myself to you, and I hope to have the opportunity to see the beautiful place where you live, meet  your dolls, create some memories, and at the same time, reach out and change the lives of those in need.
